The LPN will provide nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with various treatments and procedures while adhering to established nursing protocols. Key responsibilities include:
- Accurate measurement of vital signs.
- Collection of routine patient data as per established protocols.
- Identification and reporting of high-risk situations.
- Regular consultation with the clinical supervisor regarding patient care plans.
- Collaboration with other healthcare professionals for referrals.
- Prioritization of workflow according to clinical guidelines.
- Demonstration of technical skills in patient care.
- Adherence to infection control standards.
- Consideration of age-related requirements in patient care.
- Reinforcement of patient and family education.
- Safe administration of medications in accordance with unit policies.
- Accurate transcription of physician orders.
- Proficiency in relevant computer skills.
- Flexibility and initiative in handling assignments.
- Team collaboration in fulfilling responsibilities.
- Current Practical Nurse license in the State of New York.
- Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Hourly pay ranges from $22.85 to $32.30, based on experience, skills, and education.
