Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiology team on a per diem basis. At Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients across various settings.

Core Responsibilities:

The LPN will deliver nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting with medical procedures, executing specific tasks as outlined in the nursing care plan, and adhering to established protocols to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Essential Duties:
  • Accurately monitor and record vital signs.
  • Collect and document patient information as per established guidelines.
  • Identify and report high-risk situations promptly.
  • Engage with the clinical supervisor regarding patient care plans.
  • Propose referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Implement clinical protocols to prioritize patient care effectively.
  • Exhibit proficient technical skills in patient care delivery.
  • Adhere to established standards and protocols in all aspects of care.
  • Follow infection control measures diligently.
  • Provide care tailored to the specific needs of patients based on age.
  • Support patient and family education initiatives.
  • Administer medications in accordance with established policies.
  • Demonstrate accuracy in transcribing physician orders.
  • Utilize relevant computer skills effectively in patient care.
  • Show adaptability and initiative in fulfilling assignments.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member in patient care activities.
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Compensation:

Competitive pay range of $22.85 - $32.30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and educational background.
