Medical Sales Consultant

Job Overview: The Medical Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in driving sales of pharmaceutical products by engaging with healthcare professionals. This position involves managing a designated sales territory to meet and exceed sales objectives while ensuring profitability. The Consultant serves as the primary liaison for customers and is tasked with implementing marketing strategies and promoting Kowa products as directed by the District Manager.
Key Territory:
The core area of focus includes various locations within the defined sales territory.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 year experience in outside or B2B sales is preferred
- Current residency within the specified sales area or willingness to relocate
- Valid US Driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to lift and transport product boxes weighing up to 20 pounds
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategically manage the sales territory by developing a daily schedule of client visits based on analytical insights
- Safely operate a company vehicle in compliance with company policies
- Conduct multiple client meetings throughout the workday with physicians and pharmacists
- Utilize digital devices to effectively showcase Kowa's marketing and sales resources
- Maintain accurate inventory of product samples and marketing materials, adapting to various weather conditions
- Provide comprehensive clinical knowledge of Kowa's offerings and communicate their benefits to medical professionals
- Organize and participate in educational events, including lunch and dinner programs, to enhance understanding of disease states and treatments
- Document all client interactions daily using appropriate digital or paper methods
- Achieve established sales targets and market share goals through effective sales techniques
- Submit business expenses promptly in accordance with company policy
- Travel independently for training and meetings, which may require overnight stays
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and company policies
- Maintain a consistent work schedule and present a professional appearance
