About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our culinary team at SilverCrest. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food and service standards for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that they are of the highest quality and presentation
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with our nutrition team to develop and implement nutrition programs that meet the needs of our residents

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
