This position involves a variety of responsibilities beyond dishwashing, including the thorough cleaning of all kitchen stations, managing waste disposal, and maintaining kitchen equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently scrape, rinse, and load all dishes and utensils into the dishwashing machine.
  • Thoroughly wash, sanitize, and organize all kitchenware, including pans and utensils.
  • Exercise caution with cast iron cookware, ensuring they are not placed in the dish machine.
  • Regularly clean and maintain the dishwashing machine to ensure optimal performance.
  • Consistently empty trash containers throughout the facility.
  • Assist in loading and unloading firewood for cooking purposes.
  • Conduct daily cleaning of grease traps to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Keep the work area and kitchen tidy by sweeping and mopping as necessary.
  • Ensure all handwashing and prep sinks are cleaned at the end of each shift.
  • Polish and organize dishes, silverware, and glassware before storage.
  • Support chefs in food preparation tasks as required.
  • Perform additional cleaning duties as directed by kitchen management.
  • Adhere to Monument Resort's policies and procedures.
  • Plan and execute daily tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory for cleaning supplies and collaborate with the culinary team.
  • Report directly to the kitchen management team.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and hygiene standards, including wearing the designated uniform.
  • Exhibit punctuality and flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Food Handlers Permit.
  • Minimum age requirement of 16 years.
  • Prior experience is not mandatory.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Reliable transportation is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40+ lbs.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and reach frequently.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
