Company Overview:
Apex Systems is collaborating with a prominent manufacturing client to identify a qualified Lead Automation Engineer. This role is essential for providing technical guidance within the Systems Engineering division.

Key Responsibilities:
The Lead Automation Engineer will oversee the integration of business and manufacturing systems, ensuring robust infrastructure support. Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, executing, and maintaining systems across manufacturing, administration, packaging, utilities, and laboratory environments.
  • Leading the development and execution of a framework for Computerized Systems Validation (CSV) in alignment with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations while promoting a culture of safety and integrity.

Management Duties:
In this role, you will:

  • Ensure that team members are well-trained in necessary procedures and maintain compliance with training requirements.
  • Foster an environment that encourages employee engagement and proactive reporting of workplace deviations.
  • Act in accordance with corporate principles during all negotiations and activities.

Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Compliance:
Responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to EHS training and policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Promoting employee involvement in the Environmental Management System and other EHS initiatives.
  • Participating in waste reduction and energy conservation efforts.

Technical Oversight:
Manage Systems Engineering at the manufacturing facility by:

  • Supporting operations through effective deployment of information technology.
  • Developing strategic and tactical plans for continuous improvement in technology utilization.
  • Administering and controlling departmental budgets and forecasts.

Project Management:
Ensure successful project execution by:

  • Overseeing project documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Evaluating new systems and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Providing leadership in the validation of computerized systems in compliance with cGMPs.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; Master's Degree preferred.
Experience: 8-10 years in automated/control systems within the pharmaceutical sector.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities are essential.
