This role reports to the Tech Ops Operational System Leader.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Tech Ops Operational System Leader
Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
Compensation: 105K-142K
Key Responsibilities
As the MES Lead Specialist, you will oversee the deployment, integration, and support of the Manufacturing Execution System within our organization. Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of MES solutions aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and maintaining data integrity and compliance. You will also provide support and optimize automated systems to enhance efficiency and streamline operations across various sites, with a particular focus on specific locations.
• Implementation and Deployment:
- Lead MES project implementations, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Configure and tailor MES solutions to align with business needs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource management.
• System Integration:
- Integrate MES with other enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, and SCADA.
- Ensure seamless data transfer between MES and other systems, upholding data accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with IT and automation teams to guarantee successful integration.
• Process Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities for enhancing processes and efficiencies within manufacturing operations.
- Utilize MES capabilities to streamline production workflows, minimize downtime, and improve product quality.
- Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for MES utilization.
- Standardize and leverage solutions across multiple sites.
• Support and Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for MES-related challenges.
- Conduct regular system audits to ensure optimal MES functionality and performance.
- Manage MES upgrades, patches, and enhancements while supporting continuous operations.
• Training and Documentation:
- Educate end-users and stakeholders on MES functionalities and best practices.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and system documentation.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure MES solutions adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks and audits to maintain data integrity and system reliability.
• Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of MES specialists and analysts.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in MES implementation and support within a manufacturing context.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations.
• Proficiency in MES software such as Traksys, PASX, or similar.
• Experience with system integration and interfacing with ERP and Automation Ledger Systems.
• Strong project management capabilities, including planning, execution, and risk management.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capacity to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desired Qualifications:
• Advanced degree (Master’s) in Engineering or MBA is preferred.
• Proven experience in system automation with a successful implementation track record.
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
Benefits
- Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from 105K-142K, considering various factors such as work location, candidate skills, education level, and other job-related elements.
