About the Role

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager to lead the growth of our virtual firewalling business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the long-term cloud and virtual firewall strategy, providing technical expertise, and partnering with internal teams and stakeholders to increase sales and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Drive the Cloud and Virtual Firewall Strategy: Lead the development of a comprehensive strategy for the virtual form factor of Cisco's Secure Firewall Threat Defense, including driving new features and integrations, identifying new market opportunities, and partnering with sales and marketing to increase sales.
  2. Provide Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise on how the firewall is deployed, operated, and ran within the customer infrastructure, and passionately represent the voice of our customers to internal teams, partners, and other stakeholders.
  3. Partner with PMs to Prioritize and Understand Customer and User Needs: Partner with Product Managers to prioritize and understand customer and user needs in-depth and translate those needs into a compelling product roadmap.
  4. Build and Maintain Relationships with Cloud Service Providers: Build and maintain relationships with cloud service providers to drive cloud integrations and innovations.
Requirements
  1. 10+ Years of Experience in Product Management or Network Security: Have 10+ years of experience in either product management or network security.
  2. Certifications in Networking or Network Security: Hold one or more certifications in networking or network security, such as Cisco CISSP, Cisco CCIE, Palo Alto Networks PCCET, or Check Point CSA.
  3. Experience in Cloud Providers: Have experience in at least one primary cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI.
  4. Experience Engaging with Customers: Have experience engaging with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
  5. Experience Building Partnerships: Have experience building partnerships with technology, service, and implementation partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience Managing Cisco Secure Firewall: Have experience managing Cisco Secure Firewall and other Cisco Security technologies.
  2. Experience with Firewalling in Enterprise Networks: Have experience managing firewalling (L3/L7 to L7) in an enterprise network.
  3. Experience Leading Large Initiatives: Have experience leading large initiatives and customer engagements.
  4. Experience Presenting Technical Topics: Have experience presenting technical topics to large audiences, such as technology conferences, webinars, or internal trainings.
  5. Experience Leading Cross-Functional Teams: Have experience leading a cross-functional team of engineers, marketing managers, lawyers, and other partners to build product.
  6. Understanding of Software-Defined Networking: Have an understanding of software-defined networking, network function virtualization architectures, and infrastructure orchestration automation toolsets, such as Terraform.
  7. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  8. MBA from an Accredited University: Hold an MBA from an accredited university.
