We are seeking an experienced Cloud Reliability Engineer to join our CRE team at Zscaler. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and identifying the root cause of cloud reliability issues.
- Developing solutions and observability tools focusing on early detection and prevention for cloud and customer issues.
- Collaborating with teams to develop solutions for customer issues.
- Collaborating with product management to align technical strategies with our goals and contribute to the product roadmap.
- Working as CRE and partnering with other engineering teams to lead reliable solutions to guide industry-leading reliability of the Zscaler Cloud.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in software development and/or sustenance engineering.
- Proficient in programming languages: C, C++, Python, and Linux.
- Hands-on experience in network security products and good technical knowledge of technologies like firewall, VPN, data protection, etc.
- Hands-on experience in developing automation for troubleshooting and monitoring purposes.
- Interest in troubleshooting and problem solving for customer issues.
- Able to provide technical leadership and vision for developing cloud and customer reliability tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering.
- Experience in the culture of customer/cloud reliability engineering in comparable technology environments.
- Experience delivering products as cloud-based services.
- Solid experience engaging technical teams to discuss use cases, review feature/function requirements, and define solutions.
- Mentor engineering teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and learning.
- Become a valued leader in the CRE organization and guide tool automation and CRE best practices across Zscaler.
