Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Technical Account Manager to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Cloud Technical Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic technical guidance to our customers, helping them plan and build solutions using best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Advocacy: Provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help customers plan and build solutions using best practices.
  2. Cloud Adoption: Drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services.
  3. Operational Health: Work proactively to help craft and execute strategies for operational health and resilience of customers' AWS environments.
  4. Leadership Representation: Represent AWS within a customer's environment and drive discussions with senior leadership regarding incidents and risk management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline, and 7+ years of equivalent work experience or 9+ years of related work experience.
  • Technical Experience: 7+ years of technical engineering experience, including operational parameters and troubleshooting for four (4) of the following: Compute / Storage / Networking / CDN / Databases / DevOps / Big Data and Analytics / Security / Applications Development in a distributed systems environment.
  • Leadership Experience: Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead.
  • Communication Skills: Professional oral and written communication skills, presenting to an audience containing one or more executive team member(s).
  • Operational Experience: Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings.
