We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the National Geographic Society. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our organization, employees, and guests.
Key Responsibilities- Security Patrols: Conduct regular security patrols of our facilities, observing and reporting any safety concerns or security breaches.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including accidents, emergencies, and disasters, and provide rescue functions as needed.
- Access Control: Monitor and control access to our facilities, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with employees, guests, and other stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of physical security experience, with a preference for military, law enforcement, or security experience.
- Skills: Valid driver's license, ability to work with access building control systems, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
