Overview: Tesla is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee the quality assurance processes for our innovative energy solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all components, processes, and final products meet the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the quality of incoming materials and oversee quality assurance throughout the production cycle.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve issues affecting both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet targets related to product reliability, waste reduction, and production efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce manufacturing standards and quality plans to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify critical requirements to guide supplier and production focus on essential needs.
  • Lead the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to address potential risks in product design and processes.
  • Assist in dimensional analysis and statistical tolerancing to evaluate the impact of variability on performance.
  • Support process capability assessments to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Design and implement effective experiments to explore solutions for quality challenges.
  • Manage the root cause and corrective action process, utilizing methodologies such as DMAIC and 8D.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial) or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred certifications: Six Sigma or ASQ.
  • Minimum of 2 years in quality engineering roles.
  • At least 1 year of experience with electro-mechanical systems.
  • Proven expertise in quality methodologies, including FMEA, process capability analysis, and statistical process control.
  • Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Onsite presence is required.
