Position Overview: The Senior Engineering Solutions Architect will be instrumental in defining the technological framework, strategy, and architecture for our Engineering Services division. This senior leadership role requires a hands-on approach to provide architectural insights, foster innovation, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Vision: Formulate and drive the strategic direction for engineering services focused on productivity, quality, and DevOps.
  • Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership to ensure engineering services are in sync with business objectives.
  • Architectural Guidance: Influence and steer the architectural roadmap of the organization.

Architecture and Design:

  • Design and uphold robust, scalable, and high-performance architectures for development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure architectural consistency across various projects and teams.
  • Lead the creation of systems and tools aimed at enhancing developer productivity and software quality.

Innovation and Research:

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Lead efforts to assess and incorporate new technologies and tools that boost productivity, quality, and DevOps capabilities.

Productivity Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies in the development process and implement effective solutions.
  • Promote tools and practices that enhance developer productivity, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and code quality tools.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and operations, to ensure cohesive project delivery.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices and architectural principles.
  • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in software development, with at least 5 years in an architectural capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale architectural initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Engineering Productivity, and software quality assurance practices and tools.
