The Role
GoPro is on the lookout for an exceptional candidate for the Lead Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer position. This role will focus on enhancing the quality assurance processes for GoPro's innovative camera platforms.

The QA Engineer will collaborate closely with the development team and our offshore testing partners to design, implement, and execute testing strategies and automation scripts, while also ensuring continuous enhancements to our bug tracking system.

This team member will be instrumental in developing testing strategies aligned with project timelines, monitoring project and team progress, managing defect reports, and facilitating communication across various functional teams.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a profound understanding of consumer electronics, diverse experience with embedded systems, and exceptional communication skills.

What You Will Do
Engage in all facets of testing: including sanity, functional, integration, regression, and performance assessments.
Document comprehensive and relevant bugs within our issue tracking system.
Conduct performance and stress evaluations regularly.
Investigate root cause failures and enhance overall test coverage.
Record all test outcomes for each test suite and provide a high-level overview of tested areas.
Improve comprehensive Test Coverage through Test Review and failure analysis.
Define, develop, and implement quality assurance test plans and test cases.

Work collaboratively across teams to establish testing processes, specifications, regression tests, and acceptance tests throughout all stages of firmware and software development.

Skills We're Excited About
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in testing embedded applications.
Familiarity with the firmware/software/hardware release cycle.
Capability to create test plans, test cases, and schedules that align with product specifications and timelines.
Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for developing and delivering exceptional products.
Strong knowledge of bug tracking and version control tools such as JIRA, Test Rail, Invision, Confluence, Git, etc.
Experience with testing wireless (BLE/WiFi) devices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and focus on detailed issues with the determination to resolve them.
Bonus Points For
Experience in testing camera devices or similar technologies.
Experience in testing embedded applications for portable consumer electronics is highly desirable.

The pay range for this role is between $114,325 - $154,675. Actual compensation within this range is influenced by various factors, including location and prior experience.

Equity, benefits, and a discretionary bonus may also be available for this role and are not included in the provided pay range.
