Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled and enthusiastic Junior Accountant with at least 2 years of relevant experience to become part of our team.

In this role, you will be integral to ensuring precise financial documentation and assisting in the financial operations of the company.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of customer statements and invoicing.
  • Payment Monitoring: Oversee and track payments, follow up on overdue invoices, and rectify billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Process daily service calls and project invoicing to guarantee accurate costing, appropriate markups, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Create necessary support documentation, including schedules of values and AIA Forms.
  • Ensure timely requests for lien releases and attach them to invoices before submission.
  • Request lien releases from vendors, subcontractors, and equipment rentals.
  • Evaluate billing documents and data for accuracy, addressing any missing or incorrect information as needed.
  • Prepare monthly receivables statements.
  • Compile, organize, post, and prepare invoices, credit, and debit memos.
  • Review receivables paperwork for accuracy.
  • Scan documents to the shared drive.
  • Support the Accounting Department with various tasks.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.

Process billing invoices through mail, email, and online platforms.


Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction billing sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AIA Billing Forms is required.
  • 3 years of overall construction administration experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is a must.
  • Ability to multitask, remain highly organized, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with lien releases and preliminary notices is advantageous.
  • Exhibit efficient time management skills.

This is a full-time position in an office environment, with standard 8-hour workdays from Monday to Friday.

While performing the duties of this role, the employee may frequently be required to sit, talk, or hear, and use hands to operate various office equipment.

Occasional physical activities may include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting objects up to 20 pounds.
