Manufacturing and Shipping Associate

The Manufacturing and Shipping Associate is responsible for adhering to stringent safety and quality standards while assembling a variety of raw material frame components. This role involves setting up and operating different production machinery and managing shipments using established shipping platforms in line with company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
PRODUCTION:
- Engage in various production tasks, including assembly and machine operation, which may involve basic machinery setup and programming.
- Construct frame assemblies utilizing diverse raw material mouldings.
- Operate an array of production machinery, including mat cutters, wood cutting tools, foil stamping, and printing equipment.
- Handle production line tools such as wood joining machines, glue guns, and staple guns.
- Cut and shape components for assembly, proficiently operating computers and machine programs.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure products meet both internal and customer specifications.
- Prepare and organize frame assemblies for final production line assembly.
- Maintain cleanliness and perform basic upkeep of the work area.
- Document daily production metrics.
SHIPPING:
Organize and prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring the shipping staging area is efficiently arranged for quick access as new orders are processed.
Qualifications and Experience:
While prior manufacturing experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory for candidates who demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly.
Experience with shipping platforms such as FedEx and UPS is preferred but not essential for those with a quick learning aptitude.
- Experience in a production and manufacturing setting is beneficial.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
(Qualifications can be obtained through experience, education, or vocational training as appropriate.) A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is preferred, but not required for candidates with a strong learning capability. Familiarity with hand tools and shipping software is a plus. Candidates should be detail-oriented with good manual dexterity and visual acuity. A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is desirable. Ability to interpret and understand written and verbal instructions, along with a proficient reading level for technical documentation used in production. Capability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks while meeting deadlines are essential. Candidates should maintain a focus on achievement, engagement, and positivity, even in challenging situations, taking ownership of their responsibilities and being accountable for their outcomes. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while proactively addressing work-related issues and seeking supervisor support when necessary are crucial. Collaboration with team members is also important.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a production and manufacturing environment is a plus.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Estimated shift times: 1st shift: 7 AM to 3:30 PM. Availability for overtime and weekends as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and stand for extended periods of at least 8 hours.
