Job Summary

Summit Interconnect, Inc. - Anaheim is seeking a highly skilled Associate Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Process Engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our manufacturing operations and contributing to the development and implementation of process controls to ensure product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to our manufacturing team as needed to ensure smooth production operations.
  2. Project Execution: Develop, execute, and evaluate projects to meet realistic goals set by the Process Engineering Manager, requiring hands-on operation of equipment and interaction with production personnel.
  3. Process Development: Create and document chemical process controls to ensure product quality, as directed by the Process Engineering Manager.
  4. Test Method Development: Establish test methods, perform evaluations, and analyze results to assess existing and future technologies, products, and services.
  5. Technical Input: Provide technical input and informed judgment to the disposition of discrepant material/product.
  6. Process Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of established processes and procedures.

General Performance Criteria:

  1. Process and Product Yields: Monitor and improve process and product yields to meet quality standards.
  2. Process Control Implementation: Develop and implement process controls to ensure product quality and consistency.
  3. Line Support Effectiveness: Evaluate the effectiveness of line support in ensuring smooth production operations.
  4. Process Issue Resolution: Effectively resolve process issues to minimize downtime and ensure quality products.
  5. Communication and Documentation: Communicate and document process activities to ensure transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

  1. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with a preference for a Science or Chemistry background.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in printed circuit board processes.
  3. Knowledge: General knowledge of multilayer PWB manufacturing.
  4. Skills: Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface positively with coworkers at all levels.
