Senior Commercial Counsel

Mapbox is seeking a seasoned lawyer to join our small and collaborative legal team as an Associate General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of practicing attorney experience, preferably in a technology company, and a strong background in commercial and product law.
Key Responsibilities- Work on complex sales deals and data in-licenses to drive business growth
- Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues to develop and implement product and feature strategies
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sales teams and product managers
- Provide strategic guidance on commercial and product matters, including data in-licenses, sales and partner deals, and product counseling
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and apply that knowledge to drive business growth and mitigate risk
- 7+ years of practicing attorney experience, with 2+ years at a top-tier law firm and 5+ years in-house at a technology company
- Extensive experience working on complex sales deals and data in-licenses
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and concise language
- A practical and customer-centric orientation, with a focus on driving business growth and mitigating risk
- A sense of humor and a willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- A competitive salary range of $210,000-$270,000, depending on level, plus equity and benefits
