Position Overview:

The Loan Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in the daily activities of the Bank's Loan Operations Division, providing essential support for all commercial and consumer lending operations.

This division is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of loan closing documentation and maintaining the integrity of all loan documents, ensuring they are free from exceptions and that collateral is properly secured.

Additionally, the Loan Operations Division collaborates with the bookkeeping and proof-transit functions within the Bank to guarantee that all transaction entries—such as payments, advances, new loan disbursements, and general ledger entries—are executed accurately, while also monitoring and balancing relevant general ledger accounts.

  • Support all departmental functions and ensure that objectives are met in delivering precise and timely loan documentation, servicing loans, and maintaining collateral records.
  • Closely monitor loan documentation and collateral exceptions to minimize discrepancies in accordance with Bank policies.
  • Achieve established customer service goals by ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of loan closing documents to lenders.
  • Manage the approved loan pipeline effectively to meet or exceed customer expectations throughout the loan closing process.
  • Provide assistance and support to colleagues in resolving issues, particularly those that are sensitive or complex.
  • Ensure that team members are well-informed about compliance regulations, legal requirements, policies, and procedures, offering on-the-job training as needed.
  • Adhere to regulatory guidelines and Bank policies relevant to this position.
  • Participate in training sessions on applicable topics when available and appropriate.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following:

  • A minimum of five years of banking experience in depository services and loan origination, or an educational background that provides equivalent knowledge typically gained through five or more years in retail lending.
  • A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution; a college degree is preferred.
  • The ability to effectively multitask and deliver accurate, timely work while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills, coupled with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A demonstrated working knowledge of basic computer software, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, at a moderate level.
  • Previous experience in loan operations or administration is highly regarded.
