Position Overview:
The Mortgage Servicing Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and analyzing loan closing documentation, confirming insurance coverage for properties, executing loan bookings, and ensuring the precise processing of mortgage servicing operations.   • Examine and process loan documents after closing to verify completeness and precision.
  • Manage customer inquiries through dedicated Customer Service Lines.
  • Monitor all insurance requirements related to loans.
  • Confirm insurance coverage amounts in accordance with bank policies and local regulations.
  • Assist with the management of tax and insurance payments on escrow accounts.
  • Verify tax and insurance payments for both escrowed and non-escrowed accounts.
  • Complete bookings for first mortgages and HELOCs on the servicing platform.
  • Analyze data, identify issues, and suggest improvements as necessary.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail items efficiently.
  • Generate and distribute late notices and monthly statements, process payments accordingly.
  • Establish ACH plans based on customer authorization forms.
  • Prepare and issue payoff statements, manage payoff proceeds.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the servicing manager.

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience in mortgage banking or a relevant educational background.
  • A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
  • Strong organizational abilities with effective task prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential.
  • Prior experience in mortgage loan servicing and banking is advantageous.
