Key Responsibilities

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM CST / 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM EST

The Patient Engagement Specialist primarily interacts with patients through inbound and outbound communications, addressing inquiries and providing assistance. Responsibilities include:

  • Handling incoming calls from patients and initiating outbound calls as needed.
  • Striving for one-call resolution for patient inquiries and ensuring timely follow-up on escalated issues.
  • Responding to all patient voicemails within a 24-hour timeframe.
  • Educating patients on understanding their Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
  • Processing payments and providing necessary documentation and records.
  • Consistently meeting defined performance metrics.
  • Interpreting contracts with insurance providers.
  • Assessing accounts for potential adjustments or refunds.
  • Verifying insurance coverage and updating patient demographic information.
  • Researching and resolving missing payments.
  • Reviewing clinical data to determine the need for coding evaluations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred experience in customer service.
  • Experience in accounts receivable, billing, insurance verification, or customer service is advantageous.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Compensation: USD $21.00/Hr. to USD $25.00/Hr.
