Role Summary

The Credentialing Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the medical staff credentialing processes within our healthcare facilities. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and accreditation agency regulations, as well as adhering to corporate and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute the credentialing processes for medical staff, ensuring alignment with established regulations and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to facilitate the credentialing of physicians and allied health practitioners, while managing clinical affiliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in credentialing databases and online systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy of provider rosters for insurance companies and track completion of necessary re-attestations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant credentialing experience is necessary.
  • Certification such as Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) is preferred.
  • Experience in a matrixed environment is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is preferred.
