Job Overview

The role of the Connected Flow Transformation Specialist is integral to the strategic execution of GE Renewable Energy Power and Aviation's objectives within the Supply Chain Division. This pivotal position within the Lean organization is tasked with spearheading ongoing enhancements in the Supply Chain, aiming for significant advancements in Safety, Delivery, Cash, and Cost metrics.
This position is primarily dedicated to activating the Hoshin Kanri objectives associated with GE Renewable Energy's operational framework to realize the company's future goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a Lean culture by exemplifying best practices.
  • STRATEGY: Collaborate in crafting the strategic roadmap and guidelines across Materials, Sourcing, and Part Families to facilitate the scaling of the Connected Flow future state and achieve significant SQDC targets.
  • PROCESS: Innovate and standardize procedures to meet future state goals for Sites and Central Functional teams.
  • PEOPLE: Educate and engage with relevant roles and stakeholders in a clear and effective manner. Elevate issues within Supply Chain Obeya and Operating rhythms for decision-making and progress updates.
  • DATA: Partner with Central and Site Functional stakeholders to develop and implement Connected Flow digital solutions in collaboration with the Digital Technology team.
In the Focus Transforming Sites
  • With Materials Leaders: Guide the Site Materials Leader in Daily Management and Decentralized Materials roles leadership. Influence the strategy development for Sites concerning Planning Logistics, Inventory, and Storage of procured and manufactured materials.
  • With Customer Planners: Test, validate, and implement future state Site Production, Capacity, and Resource Planning processes while executing Heijunka and internal pull methodologies.
  • With Supply Planners: Test, validate, and implement future state Site Supply Planning processes in collaboration with Sourcing, Materials, Part Families, and Fulfillment teams.
  • With Material Handling Leaders: Test, validate, and implement future state Site Material Handling processes in partnership with Central and Site Industrial Engineering and Logistics organizations.
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading supply chain and materials teams focused on driving lean culture and operational transformation, specifically in customer planning, supply planning, and/or material handling functions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% if local or up to 50% if remote.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in leading supply chain and materials teams with a focus on lean culture and operational transformation.
  • Ability to coach a Lean Mindset within Manufacturing and/or Transactional environments.
  • Familiarity with Key Lean Concepts integral to our operational framework: Standard Work, Daily and Visual Management, Value Stream Management, Problem Solving, and Action Planning.
  • Demonstrated expertise in materials management practices utilizing lean tools and methodologies.
  • Humble: Respectful, open-minded, agile, and eager to learn.
