Position Overview

Role Summary

The Credentialing Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the credentialing processes for medical staff in compliance with federal, state, and accreditation regulations. This position requires close collaboration with hospital leadership to ensure that physicians and allied health practitioners are properly credentialed while overseeing clinical affiliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement the credentialing processes for medical staff, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to maintain accurate credentialing for physicians and allied health practitioners.
  • Ensure timely updates and accuracy of provider data in credentialing databases and online systems.
  • Maintain provider rosters for insurance companies and track completion of CAQH re-attestations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in credentialing is required.
  • Preferred: Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification or similar credential.
  • Experience in a matrixed environment is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is preferred.

Compensation
Hourly rate ranges from USD $22.00 to USD $26.00.
