Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Promotions & Events Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for creating and implementing effective marketing strategies to drive growth, retention, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Membership Marketing Plan: Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive membership marketing plan that focuses on growth, retention, cross-selling/upselling, product optimization, and upgrade campaigns.
  • Promotion Planning: Supervise the daily management and internal communication of the yearly promotion plan to align with the strategies outlined in the marketing plan.
  • Product Research: Research new products and assess how well they meet guest needs.
  • Data Analysis: Monitor and assess data related to various ticket types and their distribution, encompassing discounted tickets, different discount levels, membership fees, and discount rates.
  • Strategy Development: Suggest adjustments in strategies and tactics as needed to achieve financial plan goals.
  • Partnerships and Promotions: Identify, obtain, and oversee partnerships/promotions to expand media reach and frequency, aiding the annual media purchase.
  • Event Execution: Execute revenue-driving events for the Aquarium.
  • Corporate Liaison: Act as key liaison with corporate sponsors to manage contractual deliverables and deliver value.
  • Department Budget: Maintain a thorough understanding of the department budget and resources allocated to the marketing function.
  • Competitive Analysis: Prepare competitive analysis on a semi-annual basis (product offerings and price points, new market entrants & general climate).
  • Event Analysis: Assist in conducting pre-event updates and post-event analysis of promotions and special events.
  • Marketing Ideas: Work with the marketing team to brainstorm new marketing ideas (e.g., content, programs, etc.).
  • Special Events: Collaborate and assist in special event development and programming (e.g., Shark Summer, Mermaids, etc.).
Requirements
  • Education: BA in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field; preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in a promotions and/or membership role; strongly preferred experience in attractions, museums, sports, music, or relevant fields.
  • Skills: Knowledge of brand strategy, guest satisfaction, product management, and new product development; knowledge of ticket mix and ticket management; preferred.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly motivated, results-oriented, creative thinker. Capable of working independently yet collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
