Position Overview

Firefly Children and Family Alliance is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to empowering families and individuals across Indiana. As the Senior Coordinator of Human Resources, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to the HR department within a dynamic, mission-focused setting. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with outstanding communication abilities and a keen eye for detail. Prior experience in an office environment and administrative support is essential. This role requires excellent communication skills, adaptability, and efficiency in a fast-paced atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate bi-weekly payroll processing for the Accounting department.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of individual applicant and employee records.
  • Reconcile and submit all HR-related invoices for payment.
  • Manage employee data within HR information systems.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires and the offboarding process for terminations.
  • Administer employee benefits and retirement programs.
  • Engage in job fairs and other recruitment initiatives.
  • Provide accurate information about the organization by developing a deep understanding of the culture at Firefly Children & Family Alliance.
  • Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, laws, and regulations pertaining to recruitment and hiring.
  • Effectively communicate job specifics to candidates and manage their application status through the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Demonstrate full life cycle candidate management, including job postings, advertising, screening, assessments, background checks, employment offers, and onboarding.
  • Maintain thorough records of reference checks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field with two years of experience, or an associate degree in a similar field with four years of relevant experience, or a High School diploma/GED with at least six years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with HRIS or payroll systems.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance are required.
