Position Overview

The Senior Parts Clerk is responsible for executing a high level of functional tasks essential for the efficient, effective, and lawful management of parts warehousing and ordering processes. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of parts logistics to support the global vehicle operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitates rapid and efficient warehousing and parts ordering to meet the needs of the global vehicle organization.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards while providing timely parts support to vehicle maintenance teams.
  • Monitors inventory levels and processes invoices related to the procurement and shipment of parts.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals.

Minimum Educational Requirements

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing or coordinating parts inventory, particularly within the automotive, truck, or heavy equipment sectors.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with ATA codes for parts inventory management.
  • Proven ability to operate material handling equipment in accordance with established policies.
  • Understanding of ground support equipment operations.
  • Proficient in using personal computers and related software.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with effective communication abilities.

Working Conditions

Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and managing heavier weights with assistance. The role requires the ability to work independently for extended periods and in environments that may be noisy or lack climate control. A valid driver's license is mandatory, and successful completion of dangerous goods training is required.
