Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated professional for our Senior Adult Services team, focusing on Marion and surrounding areas.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:
An Associate's degree in human services or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, OR a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in fields such as Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Gerontology, Nursing, Health Science, Health Care Administration, Human Resources, Political Science, Anthropology, Public Administration, Education, Counseling, or Criminal Justice.
Availability for after-hours support is essential.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
Professional, respectful, and effective communication is crucial.
Willingness to travel across multiple counties and access private residences and facilities, which may have limited accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting intake assessments and processing reports of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation, including after-hours inquiries.
- Entering intake data and other relevant information into designated documentation and data management systems.
- Managing incoming calls and correspondence effectively.
- Investigating reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation as directed, including home visits for assessment.
- Evaluating living conditions, physical and cognitive capabilities, medical needs, and financial situations.
- Formulating protective service plans and providing ongoing monitoring to enhance the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults.
- Preparing for and participating in legal proceedings as necessary.
- Offering information and referrals to local agencies and organizations, and coordinating community resources.
- Completing case documentation using appropriate software to record events, interviews, and other pertinent information.
- Responding to urgent elder-related situations outside of standard operating hours.
- Adhering to procedural deadlines related to Adult Protective Services management.

Employment Type:
This is a full-time position.

Compensation:
The hourly wage is $19.54.

Work Schedule:
Day shifts are available, Monday through Friday.

Relocation Requirement:
Candidates must be prepared to relocate prior to commencing employment.

Work Environment:
This position requires in-person engagement.
