Position: Senior Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer

Location: Various Customer Sites

C Squared Systems is seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, interacting with clients and colleagues to provide timely and detailed updates. This role involves significant fieldwork, with approximately 75% of time spent on-site and 25% in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commissioning, integration, and activation of various cellular systems.
  • Conduct system tests utilizing technical phones, RF scanners, spectrum analyzers, transmitters, and other electronic testing equipment.
  • Serve as a customer-facing representative, performing site surveys and detailed walkthroughs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and ensure follow-up on tasks.
  • Engage hands-on with system components, including antennas, fiber optics, coaxial cables, and RF amplifiers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems to optimize performance, including isolating external noise interference and conducting OTDR testing.
  • Apply RF principles and theories, such as signal path, radio frequency power, frequency bands, and modulation types.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously on a daily basis.
  • Participate in monthly meetings to review project profitability and business unit performance.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.
  • Be available for occasional night shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; candidates pursuing a master's degree or with a business minor will be given preference.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, particularly with DAS architecture and cellular systems.
  • Ability to gain access to various buildings by passing specific background checks.
  • Knowledge of fiber splicing is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with various wireless technologies, including 4G LTE, 5G, and 5G-NR.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a desire to advance in a technical field.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Understanding of RF optimization techniques and best practices.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Proactive in developing policies for executive management review.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
