We are currently seeking an End User Support Specialist who will play a vital role in assisting various State agencies with their end-user technology requirements. This position encompasses the management and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and associated hardware and software tailored to each agency's specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Hardware & Software Support (30%)

  • Install and maintain hardware components such as printers and scanners.
  • Manage critical software for user support, including Anti-Virus and Encryption software.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Ensure seamless integration of desktop computers with various systems.
  • Assist users with video conferencing tools and set up office equipment for new employees.

2. Customer Service (20%)

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by adhering to established Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Document all interactions and progress in the ticketing system.
  • Maintain professionalism and courtesy in all customer interactions.

3. Queue & Workload Management (20%)

  • Utilize the ticketing system to document installations, deployments, and maintenance tasks.
  • Create and manage user accounts and privileges.
  • Work diligently on assigned tickets to meet established SLOs and SLAs.

4. IT Collaboration (15%)

  • Collaborate with team members to address technical issues and share knowledge.
  • Document and troubleshoot reported issues in the ticketing system.

5. Technical Projects (5%)

  • Participate in assigned technical projects and maintain relevant documentation.

6. IT Asset & Inventory Support (5%)

  • Assist in the physical inventory process and ensure accurate asset management.

7. Other Duties as Assigned (5%)

  • Perform additional job-related tasks as required by business needs.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred: Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Help Desk/Desktop support.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications include A+, Network+, and Security+.
