Role Responsibilities:

The Field Sales Consultant is tasked with actively seeking out and developing new business opportunities while maintaining and enhancing relationships with current clients. This position involves regular face-to-face interactions with prospects and clients within a designated sales territory, often visiting their locations to drive sales and deliver outstanding service.

This role necessitates frequent travel, including overnight stays. A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are required.

Key Duties Include:

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding assigned sales and profit targets, ensuring strong performance.
  • Maintaining and nurturing existing client accounts while pursuing new customer opportunities, contributing to overall branch growth by following established sales protocols.
  • Regularly visiting customer sites to foster and sustain sales relationships.
  • Collaborating with all company personnel as needed to expedite orders and resolve customer inquiries, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Participating in trade exhibitions, training sessions, or sales meetings as required, aiding in professional growth and market awareness.
  • Keeping accurate customer records and updating reporting data regularly to ensure information integrity.
  • Working closely with the Branch Operations Manager to maintain appropriate inventory levels based on customer needs.
  • Building and sustaining strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering valuable partnerships.
  • Managing a specific geographic territory, focusing on core accounts and promoting company-specific products.
  • Conducting 10-14 outside sales calls daily and diligently recording interactions using a customer relationship management system.
  • Engaging in sales meetings with the assigned manager to ensure clear communication and alignment with team goals.
  • Implementing a structured plan to drive sales and achieve established targets.
  • Maintaining daily communication with the inside sales team and the Branch Operations Manager to ensure seamless coordination and support.

Qualifications:

Required:

3+ years of experience in field sales or a related role

Preferred:

5+ years of experience in sales of construction-related products

Education:

Associate degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of business administration with demonstrated sales and marketing skills to implement effective strategies
  • Strong sales aptitude and persuasive skills to effectively promote products or services
