Company Overview: The Royal Inn of La Jolla is a prestigious hotel that offers an exceptional guest experience. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Night Audit to join our team.
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage all aspects of guest accommodation, including check-in and check-out tasks, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates, and amenities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all check-in and check-out tasks efficiently and accurately
- Manage online and phone reservations, ensuring seamless guest experiences
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data to prevent any discrepancies
- Register guests, collecting necessary information such as contact details and dates of stay
- Welcome guests upon arrival and assign rooms according to their preferences
- Provide information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities to enhance the guest experience
- Respond promptly and professionally to client complaints and concerns
- Liaise with housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to meet guest needs
- Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, such as weddings
- Upsell additional facilities and services when appropriate to increase revenue
- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments to ensure accuracy
Skills:
- At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role, such as Hotel Front Desk or Night Audit
- Experience with hotel reservation software, like SNT and Room Key PMS
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, such as Booking, Expedia.com, and TripAdvisor
- Customer service attitude and excellent communication skills
Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
