Job SummaryThe Patient Financial Navigation Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring seamless patient care by serving as a liaison from physician order to complete billing cycle. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of patient health insurance, including verification of benefits, prior authorization status, and patient out-of-pocket liability.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct a thorough analysis of patient health insurance to verify benefits, prior authorization status, and patient out-of-pocket liability.
- Provide patients with a clear and detailed estimate of their financial responsibility for all services, including office visits, testing, diagnostic studies, surgeries, and procedures.
- Collect or arrange payment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Interact effectively with patients, clinicians, physicians, and administrators to deliver exceptional service.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle registration, health insurance, patient financial responsibility, and point of service collections, specifically working with health insurance plans.
- Proficiency in working with payer online portals and third-party eligibility systems.
- Intermediate knowledge of Medical Terminology, Health Insurance Plans, and Patient Out-of-Pocket financial responsibility.
- Experience with EPIC system preferred.
- High School Diploma required; Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
