Job Summary:

The Capture Manager will play a critical role in identifying and capturing business opportunities, establishing relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting all phases of proposal development activities. This position requires a strong understanding of the company's core capabilities and a proven track record of success in business development and proposal writing.

Responsibilities:
  • Opportunity Identification and Qualification: Create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities that align with the company's core capabilities and result in meaningful revenue growth.
  • Proposal Development and Management: Support specific business pursuits and provide leadership, coordination, resource allocation, strategy, and management needed to prepare winning bids.
  • Transition Management: Manage the transition from opportunity discovery to proposal process, communicate win strategies, customer and competitor status to all stakeholders, and communicate bid strategies to the proposal team.
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve revenue goals through winning new business, contract recompetes, teaming, and organic program growth.
  • Strategic Growth Planning: Develop and maintain an active strategic growth plan and the associated pipeline in alignment and consistent with corporate strategy, goals, and core capabilities.
  • Proposal Writing and Review: Research and collaborate on the most effective way to present proposed approaches and solutions, write clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections, translate technical and other ideas into easily understandable narrative/text, and rewrite and review proposal sections and related proposal documents.
  • Proposal Completion: Assist with the completion of a high-quality, on-time proposal response.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as liberal arts, communications, or business.
  • Experience: 6+ years of capturing opportunities for Civilian and Health agencies, including but not limited to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Department of Energy (DOE), and National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
  • Proposal Writing Experience: 6+ years of writing proposals for opportunities at agencies referenced above.
  • Technical and Financial Knowledge: Must have sufficient technical and/or financial knowledge to influence solution development.
  • Communication Skills: Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally.
  • Time Management: Ability to work in a surge capacity at times to meet proposal schedule demands and adhere to proposal development, review, and production schedules through strong time management.
  • Proposal Management Templates: Ability to understand, use, and tailor company's proposal management templates, including proposal outlines, schedules, past performance, color team reviews, and review briefings.
  • Capture Management: Ability to perform capture on multiple opportunities in a dynamic environment with ambiguity at times.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft products, including M365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint Online, and Teams.
  • Advanced Microsoft Word Skills: Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including document formatting, table manipulation, line spacing, and header numbering.
