**Basic Qualifications**

A bachelor's degree or equivalent is essential, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in exhibition or event coordination.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work.

**Responsibilities for this Position**

General Dynamics Mission Systems is in search of a proactive and skilled Exhibition Event Management Specialist to oversee the planning and execution of our domestic and international exhibitions. The ideal candidate should demonstrate outstanding organizational and communication abilities, with a proven history of successfully managing exhibitions and events within the defense, aerospace, or technology industries. This role offers a chance to enhance the effectiveness and profitability of an organization that supports vital defense services for our nation.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute domestic and international exhibitions from inception to completion, including onsite oversight.
  • Manage all facets of exhibitions, including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, logistics, shipping, booth design, and branding.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, engineering, and business development teams to gather information, meet deadlines, and support business strategies and objectives.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipping logistics.
  • Engage with exhibit houses to design booth layouts and manage logistics such as booth construction, audiovisual, electrical, and other services.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts for booth space and sponsorships with event organizers and vendors.
  • Participate in annual exhibition budget planning and manage show budgets effectively throughout the year.
  • Coordinate creative media content requirements for exhibitions, including booth graphics, videos, and other materials to ensure consistent branding.
  • Ensure all exhibition activities adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners and associations to enhance General Dynamics Mission Systems' visibility and reputation at events.
  • Stay informed about exhibition best practices and emerging technologies to improve attendee engagement and operational efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • At least 5 years of experience in exhibition or event management and planning.
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping, with the ability to handle light physical tasks.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Capacity to multitask and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates initiative on assignments, exercises independent judgment, and executes projects professionally with minimal direction.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on logistics.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and potential challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to cultivate new relationships and network with key contacts both inside and outside the organization.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Recognized as an expert in the field within the organization.
  • Strong understanding of the needs, strategies, and motivations of the business.

This position can be remote or flexible, but candidates must be in close proximity to our Scottsdale, Arizona location.

Target salary range: USD $91,022.20/Yr. - USD $98,488.90/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
