Position Overview

The Pinoleville Pomo Nation is committed to uplifting Native American youth by equipping them with the necessary tools and support for academic excellence and essential life skills. The After School Program Manager will collaborate with students and an advisory committee to design and implement our after-school initiatives.

As the on-site After School Program Manager, you will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and culturally rich atmosphere for students. Your responsibilities will include crafting and executing programs that enhance academic performance, cultural appreciation, and personal development. Your leadership will motivate students to realize their full potential while honoring their cultural backgrounds.

Compensation: $30.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging after-school programs that foster academic success, cultural understanding, and life skills. This encompasses tutoring, mentoring, cultural workshops, and various enrichment activities.
  • Provide tailored academic support and mentorship to students, assisting them in overcoming challenges, setting objectives, and achieving success in their educational journey.
  • Manage resource allocation, including program materials, budgets, and partnerships, ensuring the program operates smoothly and effectively.
  • Monitor student engagement and program outcomes. Utilize data to enhance the program continuously and report successes and areas for improvement to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in education, social work, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Native American communities, ideally in educational or youth development contexts.
  • Experience in program management or leadership roles is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with students, families, and community partners.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with the capacity to inspire, motivate, and guide students and staff.
  • Must pass an FBI Live Scan Fingerprint background check.
