Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Sales Representative will be tasked with building and nurturing robust connections with clients, advocating for Murphy Distributors' extensive product range, and meeting sales objectives.

This role involves managing sales efforts directed at both new and existing clients within the designated territory. The primary focus will be on generating sales and securing orders from current or potential on-premise clients.

Most of the work will take place outside of the office, engaging with clients through face-to-face meetings, product tastings, and other outreach initiatives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
ALL Cultivate and enhance relationships with both new and existing clients while expanding product availability in on-premise venues within the assigned territory.

  • Achieve specific sales targets and objectives on a monthly and yearly basis.
  • Formulate and implement strategic sales initiatives to surpass revenue expectations.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with current clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Conduct engaging product demonstrations and tastings to highlight our diverse selection of liquor products.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and Sales Director to execute effective promotional campaigns.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitor actions, and customer preferences to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is a critical aspect of this role.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in the liquor sector.
  • Demonstrated success in liquor sales or related fields.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the liquor industry and its products.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Results-oriented with a proven history of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
