Position Overview

INDUSTRIAL, a dynamic B2B marketing agency specializing in industrial sectors, is seeking a skilled Marketing Strategist to create targeted marketing initiatives. This role will focus on developing strategies that are informed by competitive insights, a deep understanding of customer behavior, and an analysis of market conditions.

The Marketing Strategist will operate from our Nashville headquarters, with flexible work arrangements available. This position reports directly to the VP of Integrated Marketing Strategy and is structured as a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Client Marketing Strategy Development:

  • Conduct comprehensive client discovery sessions.
  • Utilize both qualitative and quantitative data to:
    • Evaluate competitor positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies.
    • Assess existing client marketing materials and campaigns.
    • Gain insights into target audience challenges and perspectives.
    • Identify key differentiators for client products and services.
    • Explore market opportunities.
    • Collaborate with clients to align on goals and objectives.

Documentation of Strategic Parameters:

  • Create foundational documents that:
    • Confirm goals and objectives.
    • Define target demographics.
    • Identify marketing opportunities.
    • Outline the overall go-to-market strategy.
    • Engage with creative, inbound, paid media, and technology teams.

Marketing Action Plan Development:

  • Lead the creation of actionable marketing plans:
    • Establish a framework for team contributions.
    • Collaborate with team members to refine channel and tactic specifics.
    • Ensure that team proposals align with strategic objectives.
Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in a marketing strategist or marketing manager role.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including:
    • Content marketing
    • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
    • Email marketing
    • Google Analytics
    • Programmatic advertising
    • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and spreadsheet applications.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Wrike, Asana, TeamWork, BaseCamp, Trello, etc.
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective client interactions and relationship building.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience in an agency setting is preferred.
