The Product Brand Strategist will take the lead in promoting our GenFlex low-slope roofing systems brand, steering brand strategy and execution to fulfill business and marketing goals. This position reports to the Senior Brand Strategist.

Brand Management

  • Directs the GenFlex brand strategy for Holcim Building Envelope, a leader in the global commercial roofing sector.
  • Owns the brand strategy and identity guidelines, including the vision to animate the brand and refine the brand value proposition. Responsible for brand governance to ensure consistency, adapting as necessary.
  • Collaborates closely with channel marketing, sales, product management, corporate communications, and the digital team to formulate strategically driven recommendations and plans to meet marketing and business objectives.
  • Provides support for the Gentite and Elevate brands.
  • Evaluates market trends, remaining informed about customer and segment-specific insights, business challenges, and competitive brands, translating insights into relevant activations that enhance the brand.
  • Proactively tracks key business metrics and modifies brand strategies and tactics as required.
  • Continuously assesses brand strengths, weaknesses, and limitations, recommending and implementing strategies to maintain a competitive position within the commercial building products sector.
  • Gains a deeper understanding of customer perspectives through regular discussions with Sales and clients.

Brand Execution

  • Accountable for brand execution across various channels, customer segments, and owned properties in support of product launches, trade exhibitions, marketing initiatives, and overall brand enhancement efforts, optimizing the marketing mix for maximum effectiveness.
  • Ensures that all marketing communication outputs, from positioning and online content to stylistic elements and key customer interactions, align with the brand and brand experience.
  • Manages projects for GenFlex and GenTite, creating scalable templates and processes. Training on project management tools will be provided.
  • Takes hands-on responsibility for design tasks (using tools like Canva or Adobe InDesign), with assistance from other brand personnel and agencies.
  • Collaborates with the Senior Brand Strategist on the placement, management, and evaluation of paid media.
  • Partners with the Communications team to develop earned media opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in marketing and/or agency roles with proven expertise in brand management.
  • Experience in B2B marketing, ideally within big box, lumber yard, and/or building products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly effective project manager, capable of overseeing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Innovative thinker with strong leadership, prioritization skills, and a track record of relationship building.
  • Experience in copywriting for B2B contexts.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in eCommerce.
  • Familiarity with the Rep/Distributor/Contractor go-to-market structure.
  • Basic video editing skills.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Proficiency in Spanish.
