Position Overview:

Imperial Dade, a prominent distributor in North America, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in supporting our business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for engaging with clients, processing orders, and addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests regarding our extensive range of products and services.

Your working hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

As the leading independent distributor of foodservice packaging and janitorial supplies in North America, Imperial Dade provides tailored supply chain solutions across various sectors, including restaurants, grocery stores, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and cruise lines. Established in 1935 and headquartered in New Jersey, we proudly serve over 90,000 clients through our extensive network of branches.

**Please note that all communication will be conducted directly through Imperial Dade and not through personal email accounts.**

Key Responsibilities:
You will be expected to:

  • Respond to customer calls promptly, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Engage with clients via telephone, electronically, or in person.
  • Contribute to sales growth and profitability by recommending new and complementary products and participating in promotional activities.
  • Enhance fill rates by suggesting alternatives for out-of-stock or discontinued items.
  • When necessary, escalate customer issues, needs, and requests to the customer service manager.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with various software applications.
  • At least 2 years of data entry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A friendly personality with a strong desire to assist others.
