Job Description

Job Summary

This in-house position is responsible for handling our company's house accounts to build sales and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and a passion for the seafood industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our business customers to introduce and promote new and existing products and services.
  • Take accurate phone orders and perform daily data entry into our order system.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals and targets to drive sales revenue and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate records of account information, including contacts, special requirements, and other relevant details.
  • Collaborate with our Office Manager to determine strategies, price schedules, discounts, promotions, contracts, and marketing programs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for review and analysis.
  • Utilize our company portal to retrieve customer information, stock status, and other relevant data to ensure accurate orders.
  • Communicate with customers regarding production issues, delays, concerns, and solutions.
  • Contribute to the success of our Sales team and company efforts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma; College Degree preferred.
  • One year of sales experience in the seafood industry and/or two years of experience in product sales.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high degree of judgment.
  • Proven selling, communication, time management, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Competent in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and a proven record of establishing positive relationships with businesses and the community.
  • Valid Driver's license, current registration, and vehicle insurance documents.
