Job Summary

The Lead Solution Architect will be responsible for designing business solutions for key strategic initiatives, including developing architectures that represent business, applications/integration, data, infrastructure, platform, and security architectures. This role will require collaboration with Digital, Data and Analytics, IT, EA, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop solution architectures for key strategic initiatives, including business, applications/integration, data, infrastructure, platform, and security architectures.
  • Partner with Digital, Data and Analytics, IT, EA, Infrastructure, and Security teams to deliver solutions.
  • Develop and maintain technical subject matter expertise and domain knowledge in cloud design and architecture.
  • Design and implement large-scale distributed solutions across the full enterprise stack.
  • Develop and maintain technical skills in application, data, integration, and security architecture/design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in enterprise development tools and methodologies, including DevSecOps and DataOps.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in modern technology stacks, including cloud, DevOps, and Kafka.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in SQL and NoSQL database technologies, as well as cloud database technologies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in design/development.
  • 2+ years of hands-on cloud implementation experience.
  • Best-in-class technical subject matter expertise and domain knowledge.
  • SME-level understanding of cloud design and architecture for one or more public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, preferably GCP).
  • SME-level technical skills in application, data, integration, and security architecture/design.
  • SME-level understanding of APIs (Rest, GraphQL, and gRPC) and microservices-based architecture.
  • Domain-Driven Design: ability to map the domain scope to Bounded Contexts/Microservices.
  • Experience working with technologies that work as glue between modern applications and legacy infrastructure, leveraging streaming platforms like Apache Kafka.
  • Ability to collaborate with Digital, IT, EA, Ops, and Security to deliver solutions.
  • Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps.
  • Hands-on technologists with coding skills and proficient in modern technology stacks (Cloud, DevOps, Kafka, etc.).
  • Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies, as well as cloud database technologies.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience is a must.
  • Facilitates adoption of cloud-native/cloud-first architectures.
  • Experience integrating with legacy mainframe/mid-range AS400 applications, including developing roadmaps for modernization of the applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the PBM Industry is a plus.
  • GCP/Azure Architect cloud certification is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivalent experience.
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
