Job Summary

The Lead Solution Architect will be responsible for designing business solutions for key strategic initiatives, including developing architectures that represent business, applications/integration, data, infrastructure, platform, and security architectures. This role will partner with Digital, Data and Analytics, IT, EA, Infrastructure and Security teams to create solution architecture for key strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business solution designs for key strategic initiatives
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to create solution architecture for key strategic initiatives
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in cloud design and architecture, application, data, integration, and security architecture
  • Collaborate with Digital, IT, EA, Ops, and Security teams to deliver solutions
  • Experience working with technologies that work as glue between modern applications and legacy infrastructure leveraging streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
  • Ability to facilitate adoption of cloud-native/cloud-first architectures
  • Experience integrating with legacy mainframe/mid-range AS400 applications including developing roadmaps for modernization of the applications

Requirements

  • 10+ years in design/development experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on cloud implementation experience
  • Best in class technical subject matter expertise and domain knowledge
  • SME level understanding of cloud design and architecture for one or more public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, preferably GCP) to deliver large-scale distributed solutions across the full enterprise stack
  • SME level technical skills in the following areas: application, data, integration, and security architecture/design
  • SME level understanding of APIs (Rest, GraphQL, and gRPC) and microservices-based architecture is a must
  • Domain Driven Design: Be able to map the domain scope to Bounded Contexts /Microservices
  • Experience working with enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps
  • Hands-on technologists with coding skills and proficient in modern technology stacks (Cloud, DevOps, Kafka etc.)
  • Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies as well as Cloud database technologies.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience is a must
  • Experience in the PBM Industry is a PLUS. GCP/Azure Architect cloud certification is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field required or equivelant experience
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or equivelant experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $118, $236,900.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
