The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing and expanding customer and partner relationships, as well as identifying new business opportunities within the Apto Solutions portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Expand the Sales Pipeline: Identify, qualify, and establish new offerings that align with customer needs, leading to a robust sales pipeline.
- Lead Strategic Initiatives: Create new revenue streams for the company through strategic planning and execution.
- Network and Relationship Building: Grow, maintain, and leverage a professional network to meet potential clients and decision-makers.
- Client Identification and Relationship Management: Identify potential clients and decision-makers, setting up meetings between them and Apto Solutions' practice leaders/principals.
- Proposal Development: Work with the team to develop proposals that address client needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Pricing and RFQ/RFP Responses: Participate in pricing solutions/services and lead RFQ/RFP responses.
- Objection Handling: Clarify, emphasize agreements, and work through differences to a positive conclusion, using an appropriate style to persuade or negotiate.
- Client Representation: Present an image that mirrors that of the client, ensuring a strong representation of Apto Solutions' values and mission.
- Experience: At least 7+ years in B2B sales/business development experience.
- Client Relationship Management: Experience in client relationship management, identifying opportunities with clients, networking, and generating leads.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Sales Performance: Demonstrates a track record of achieving sales goals and metrics.
- Time Management: Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Complex Sales Cycles: Experience with service sales or complex sales cycles is a plus.
- IT Hardware Sales: Experience in selling IT hardware for an OEM or VAR to strategic Fortune 1000 accounts.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Excessive entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Technical Understanding: Technical understanding of customer requirements.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills.
