As a Brand Engagement Partner, you will cultivate, secure, and manage a portfolio of prominent brands and agencies.

You possess expertise in engaging marketers at various levels and have substantial experience in both agency and direct brand sales.

Your ability to align Strava's sponsorship and media offerings with marketing goals is both creative and strategic, collaborating effectively with a diverse range of cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Utilize your established connections with major media agency teams to promote Strava and its audience, driving new business opportunities.
  • Sell Sponsored Challenges and various brand activation options within the Strava application.
  • Manage a portfolio of existing partners, enhancing those relationships.
  • Identify and secure new business from partners across diverse sectors.
  • Collaborate across functions (Account Management, Legal, Product, CRM & Marketing) to create and implement local and global digital sponsorships.
  • Design immersive brand activations that delight both clients and our community members.

Your success will be defined by:

  • Generating demand for Strava products by identifying customer challenges and demonstrating how our solutions can effectively address them.
  • Continuously seeking out and closing new agency and brand business.
  • Focusing on brand value and return on investment rather than merely technical details.
  • Prioritizing opportunities effectively and balancing both inbound and outbound sales efforts.
  • Collaborating efficiently with internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for brand partners and community members.
  • Educating clients on Strava's core values and identifying partners aligned with our mission.
  • Consistently surpassing quarterly and annual revenue targets set by management while contributing to overall team objectives.
  • Maintaining pipeline integrity to support accurate forecasting and revenue goals.

We are enthusiastic about you because:

  • You have over 5 years of experience in a results-driven digital advertising or sponsorship role, emphasizing agency development.
  • You possess extensive knowledge of the digital media and advertising landscape and enjoy building relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • You are an effective communicator, capable of engaging your audience and clearly articulating a compelling value proposition in both internal and external presentations.
  • You are organized and take full ownership of your portfolio, including maintaining pipeline integrity.
  • You have experience acting as the 'voice of the customer,' providing relevant feedback to product, marketing, sales, and engineering teams, advocating for customer needs based on your broader understanding of the digital landscape.
