Client Relations Associate

SmartTalent is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Specialist to join our team. If you excel at creating positive experiences and building strong relationships, this role may be ideal for you.
COMPENSATION: $20 - $25/hourly based on experience
POSITION: Customer Service Specialist
WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4:30pm

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will be tasked with nurturing customer relationships and delivering exceptional service by:
- Monitoring and addressing customer needs
- Creating and managing bookings
- Resolving issues efficiently
- Generating reports and tracking shipments
- Coordinating logistics and equipment
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outstanding customer service abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient math skills
- Excellent organizational capabilities
- Team-oriented mindset
- Adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Computer proficiency, particularly in Windows and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel), E-Service Center, and E-Commerce applications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Creating and updating bookings, bills of lading, and transport records
- Assigning customer bookings to the appropriate vessels
- Tracking cargo and providing updates to clients
- Responding to inquiries regarding vessel schedules and operational requirements
- Coordinating logistics for loads, deliveries, and pickups
- Monitoring and correcting online and EDI bookings
- Investigating and resolving customer inquiries and issues
- Providing support across various departments
- Generating and auditing reports for customer and internal use
- Fostering positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues
