Job Title: Patient Service Representative II
Job Summary:
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative II to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide exceptional support to our patients and healthcare providers. Your primary responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, authorizing services, and coordinating referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and triage calls, directing patients to the appropriate department or individual.
- Schedule and authorize appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services.
- Perform insurance verification functions to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Process and track incoming and outgoing referrals, ensuring timely communication with patients and healthcare providers.
- Sort and deposit mail and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations.
