Patient Service Representative II

Job Description
Cedars-Sinai is a leading healthcare organization that values excellence and innovation. As a Patient Service Representative II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our licensed clinics. Your responsibilities will include answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and coordinating imaging and ancillary services. You will also be responsible for patient check-out, rescheduling follow-up appointments, and training new staff members. Additionally, you will perform insurance verification functions, process and track referrals, and maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Answer and triage calls, directing patients to the appropriate department or individual
Schedule and authorize appointments, surgeries, and ancillary services
Perform insurance verification functions and process referrals
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Assist with training new staff members and provide support as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience working with insurance companies and obtaining authorizations
