Job Overview

T2 Utility Engineers (T2ue) is a leader in delivering dependable underground and above-ground utility data, aimed at minimizing the risks associated with utilities in infrastructure initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret plans and serve as the intermediary between designers, utility organizations, and clients.
  • Act as T2ue's representative in client meetings, regularly engaging with current and prospective clients to secure new projects and maintain relationships.
  • Evaluate backlog, resources, and sales to prioritize needs, coordinating with the Regional Manager to acquire necessary resources and equipment.
  • Oversee all quality assurance and quality control processes to guarantee accurate and high-quality deliverables.
  • Assist in preparing fee proposals and engage with clients to secure work.
  • Develop work plans, assemble project teams, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to project scope and timelines.
  • Review and approve design calculations, specifications, and other submissions.
  • Examine invoices and prepare or review progress reports for clients.
  • Accountable for the performance and completion of all contracts.
  • Manage projects to ensure timely completion and profitability.
  • Implement appropriate quality control measures.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with deliverables and services.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including scope, budget, and cost tracking.
  • Ensure project mapping complies with established company protocols and industry standards.
  • Foster relationships with potential and existing clients to cultivate long-term business partnerships.
  • Identify and select opportunities for growth.
  • Devise solutions for clients and demonstrate value to their organizations.
  • Enforce compliance with established risk management protocols.
  • Expand senior-level relationships with clients and business partners in the region.
  • Engage with senior client executives to negotiate and finalize complex agreements.
  • Continuously monitor the local market.
  • Report on client and competitor activities and take appropriate actions.
  • Prepare business activity and forecasting reports.
  • Support local office or regional marketing initiatives.
  • Track and report on sales goals.
  • Monitor and assess competitive activities.
  • Secure signed contracts from new and existing clients in line with T2ue's policies.

Qualifications:

  • Professional engineering license (PE), surveying, or geology, or a four-year degree with three years of experience in utility design or construction, or eight years of experience in a related field, or two years as a Project Manager in the Utilities Division.
  • BSc/MSc in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to network effectively to achieve strategic growth KPIs for new business and key clients.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, with strategic vision and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills for proposals and contracts.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities.
  • Experience as a project manager delivering results for client contracts.
  • Familiarity with Microstation/ORD, AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.
