Job Overview

Position: Project Manager

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager to take the lead in the design and coordination of civil and transportation engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and execution of large-scale transportation projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals and provide outstanding service to clients.
  • Engage in client meetings to present project concepts and summarize tasks effectively.
  • Prepare initial design layouts and comprehensive final design plans, utilizing advanced design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and OpenRoads.
  • Compile, write, and edit documentation for design-build projects, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Assist in the development of proposals, project budgets, and timelines while maintaining public engagement with relevant state and local authorities.
  • Oversee the work of other engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, identifying new opportunities and leading the proposal process.
  • Track and meet project budgets and schedules while marketing to secure work from both new and existing clients.

Work Environment: This position is primarily based in WSB's offices, with the flexibility to work from a home office in the metropolitan area, allowing for a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in civil engineering or a related field, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree with at least five years of progressive experience.
  • At least two years of experience with design software, including MicroStation and AutoCAD modeling.
  • Proficiency in referencing design standards and coordinating project tasks among engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills for managing client interactions regarding project status and invoicing.

Additionally, candidates must have the ability to obtain a TX driver's license and a Professional Engineer license in Texas within six months.
